UPHOLDING & PROMOTING OUR CULTURE GOES BEYOND JUST WEARING AFRICAN PRINTS -; GEORGE OPARE ADDO SHARES ON THE PRESIDENT’S COMMENT ON LEGALIZING HOMOSEXUALITY

Image
The Ghanaian Society growing gradually through modernization can never throw away its norms and values running after westernization. The thoughts of the President of our beloved country proposing a solution to have Homosexuals legalize their practices in our country is baffling. Where did he place the Ghanaian values? Did he leave them in his African print shirts as he wore a suit and tie for his interview? My focus and utmost concern remains the youth when issues of this sort carrying a national weight springs up. Homosexuality, looking at the present day Ghanaian society when encouraged and legalized will see most of the persons involved in it being the youth and for this reason the president’s comments aches me the more. We are indigenes of a country built on the foundations of our strong and beautiful culture and values. Prez Akufo Addo  We grew knowing that the right way to live as Ghanaians promoting the continuity of our race is by building a family beginning with m

IN DEFENCE OF PROFESSOR NAANA JANE OPOKU- AGYEMANG

I am still not sure what it is that supposedly provoked our Minister for Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, to embarrass himself and cause people to lower further their perception of him, with his public insults and vulgarism against Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. Former Education Minister, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang They are from two different political ideologies, yes, but must that by itself cause a person appointed by the State and who should be a role model to others, to behave and publicly, in that manner. Professor Opoku-Agyemang cannot be said to be your usual politician, but off course one who has a firm belief in the Social Democratic Philosophy of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Of the many appointees of state over the years, Professor Opoku-Agyemang, Ghana’s first female Vice Chancellor of a University, is thought among the few that did not only bring dignity to their positions but demonstrated that public service officers or political appo

GHANA UNDER NANA AKUFO ADDO; WEAK LEADERSHIP, LIES, NEPOTISM AND TERROR AND WHY FOREIGN INVESTORS SHOULD BE WORRIED

Before saying anything that I have in mind, I want to render an unqualified apology to my friends, family and followers who might have made their choices during the 2016 general elections based on my recommendations. Out of frustration due to the perceived mass arrogance and corruption from the leadership of NDC, I thought handing Ghana to the NPP was the best choice. Unfortunately I was wrong. I was wrong in my claims of how peaceful NPP will handle Ghana; I was wrong in my conclusions on how caring the party would be to the average Ghanaian; and I was wrong in thinking that Dr. Bawumia will stop campaigning and use what he learned to run the country. I was wrong in everything. I cannot tell whether my pronouncements influenced anybody’s choice; but if they did, I am sorry! To tell you why I arrived at this conclusion, I want to break my article into various headings so I can make my points clear; Weak leadership and terror; More than 20 acts of vigilantism have been re

DR VALERIE SAWYER WRITES TO PRESIDENT AKUFO ADDO

Mr. President! Mr. President!! Mr. President!!! How many times did I call you? Why will you not let me enjoy a peaceful Opposition? Stretching my legs in an easy chair on my patio, I heard your Vice-President say: “We are introducing… Ghana’s digital address system with unique post-codes within every location within Ghana… The digital addressing system is going to provide … us the most advanced addressing system in the world.  Period! This is what we are about to roll out. And it is more advanced, off course, than the United States or the United Kingdom or Sweden or Germany because they are stuck with old technology. We are leap-frogging and we are going to new technology.  Dr Valerie Sawyer, Former Deputy Chief of Staff We are going to GPS-based technology, so even if you are standing in the middle of the River Oti and you want your address when we roll it out you will know your address in the middle of the River Oti.” I said to myself – “Who is deceiving these people?
